Administration
Obong University is poised to become a leading provider of quality
education in Nigeria and Africa. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Enefiok Udo,
is a seasoned academic and administrator who has stamped his mark on the
institution with his 'hands on' style of administration. His emphasis is
on developing the basic sciences by bringing in knowledgeable and
innovative staff and equiping the laboratories to provide a springboard
for the future development of the university.
The College of Natural andApplied Sciences is headed by Dr. Stanilus Umoessien
who has spent over three decades at various research projects in serveral
countries. The university is keen to strengthen its research capabilities
to achieve its goal of "education for sustainable development".
The College of Management and Social Sciences has the ambition of providing
avenues to turn Obong University's research potential into viable endeavours.
The college is headed by Dr. Joseph Udondata who comes from a distinguished
academic background and whose publications are highly in demand.
The Registry, headed by Mr. Imo Akpanudo, with his team in the
university's administration have made Obong University an IT driven
institution. Obong university is poised to meet the challenges of helping
Nigeria achieve its 202020 goals.
